Basement Waterproofing Membrane Installation

BASEMENT WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE INSTALLATION

In addition to our other waterproofing services, we also offer basement waterproofing membrane installation. A waterproofing membrane is a tough, resilient membrane that is applied to your foundation walls. Whether you have poured concrete or a masonry block foundation, it creates a strong bond so water won’t enter your basement.

 How a Waterproofing Membrane Works

We use TUFF-N-DRI waterproofing membranes, that include a drainage board for unsurpassed performance. First the waterproofing membrane is applied to the foundation walls. Then we install the drainage board. These two items create a waterproof barrier between your foundation and the soil surrounding it. The drainage board catches water that otherwise would have run down the side of the foundation, and drains it to a specific location. The water is guided away from your home because of the drainage system.

Why are Waterproofing Membranes Used

There are many reasons to use waterproofing membranes. The main reason is that this exterior waterproofing system is a quick and effective way to ensure your basement stays dry and free from moisture. In addition to keeping water out of your basement, this also helps reduce mold and mildew by not allowing water to enter your home in the first place. Keeping a well-regulated, dry basement is the best way to ensure your home remains a safe and healthy space for years to come.
